value = 0 in GUI

i redefine the initialez values with real numbers instead of integers!

i did the following

ratioar1=float(slider1.val/slider.val)
glColor3f(1.0, 0.0, 0.0)
glRasterPos2i(350,145)
print ’ RATIO =’,ratioar1,'slider1.val = ’ ,slider1.val , ’ slider.val = ',slider.val
Text(“The Ratio rise span = %f.” % ratioar1)

problem is that when it print the valu on console or GUI

the value ratioar1 =0

but there are values for the sliders so what is wrong with this ratioar1=float(slider1.val/slider.val)
