Various general animation questions...

Ok, so I’m clueless on basicly everything needed to animate. Hopefully someone can help me here. I know some of these are over-generic, but I really don’t know how to do them.

How would you make something where a mesh’s movement was applied to the current frame?

How do you make camera movements applied to individual frames of an animation?

How would you go about adding sounds to this animation once it’s finished?

Sorry that I’m so clueless. I’ve never attempted animation before so I don’t know where to start…

Over a 100 frame anim each frame could be Current (Q1) or Individual (Q2). But I’ll assume you mean how do you begin animating at a given frame (say 50 in a 100 frame anim) ? You keyframe the start (standing) position of the obj (camera too) on frame 1, move forward to frame 50 and keyframe the same position then move forward to (lets say) frame 75 and keyframe the object at a point halfway between start and end (frame 100).

Later, when that has clicked you’ll know how to drag IPO curves around, turn them into actions and use the action editor and NLA editor to drag groups of them around.

For Q3 you can add the sound file to your scene and mix (synchronize) it but you need to use something like Virtualdub to actually add it.

Do you know of any step-by-step tutorials? That whole post made no sense to me as I don’t know how to do any of it…
