I kind of feel you missed the point of voxel art.

It’s about using limited means to great effect. If you just go all marching cubes on ordinary meshes, it loses its appeal. Much like a low-resolution scan of a photo has nothing on hand-crafted pixel art.

Reducing his post to this seems unfair since big part of the post is information concerning scipting this in python and that’s quite helpful.
