Good start on a short film! I think the best thing about the film was the cinematography, which in the case of animation mainly has to do with the framing of shots, shot angles, etc.
You definitely had some shots that had good dramatic framing, zooms etc. There were some glimpses of some interesting highly detailed elements like the main character, the city, clouds, etc. However the majority of the film is really brought down by the overuse of the blur node in the compositor. The blur effect can be dramatic and beautiful, but this was just way too much. At some point you just want to really see the character in full detail, and that was a big distraction for me. It was also a little confusing as to what the plot was, but this is not as important as just being able to see things clearly.
There are definitely lots of signs of good things to come in your next projects, keep it up!
