Vases

Hey guys,

I just did a short project (about 3 hours, one of which was rendering) in blender. I was practicing some materials for my school project. (WIP thread- sry I don’t have much yet) It turned out really well so I wanted to share it with you guys. I’m trying to go for photoreal, so please give me your opinions/critique.

Regards,
Tim

Very nice, I think you achieved your goal of photoreal. But the vases could be a little more reflective imho.

Yeah, but after an hour of rendering I really didnt want to redo it.

Looking sweet tcrazy. I think you could use some more blue in the ambient light, just a hint though as there is a lot of blue outside of the window coming in. And maybe roughen up the textures a bit, not extremely, but in small details. Photorealistic means imperfect surfaces! Keep it up.

Crititrozoz,

Thanks man. I agree the textures could probably be more bumped and less subtle, I may do a rerender later today. If I feel like waiting another hour

Tim
