Vector Blur on Camera is all Crazy

I am having a lot of trouble with my simple test. First off, vector blur does not seem to work at all when there is a certain amount of smoke in a shot. I’m not sure how to comp the smoke out to another layer. I’ve been able to move the smoke to a layer but there is no option to use mattes or shadow it back into the original layer.

Now that I have vector blur back, it’s going all crazy on me (see image). I have no idea what might be causing this. Thanks in advance for any help.

Frustration with Blender comes from so many little things… it drives me insane after awhile. I’m about to export this entire thing into Lightwave so I can at least finish it.

I have no idea what might be causing this.

Could you be a bit more vague?

I don’t see that anything in that view that I would expect would be moving. The two dead characters? The door? the hands? What? And what is it causing?

Exactly! The only thing moving right there is the camera and barely at that. I have the standard vector blur node setup (one node just like everyone shows with Image, Z and Speed). There is nothing in here that’s abnormal.

But if the camera is barely moving, maybe you’re below the threshold of the Blur Node? Vector pass on? Compositor on? …and is that Smoke, or Mist? and…

Guessing game ahoy! Blend file might help.

The manage attachments does not allow me to add blend files… I missed the deadline to submit this thing anyway so it doesn’t matter now. Spent too much time trying to get blender to work and not enough time working.

Thank you for replying though… and sorry for my attitude… I’m just frustrated.
