Are there any plans to be able to reliably import vector lines straight from Adobe illustrator into Blender?
The SVG import adds too many points and the only add on I found will work only once.
After you use it once, it’s greyed out or gives an error message.
Just save your Ai as SVG, I do it all the time with stuff I already have as AI files.
Thanks for the reply.
When I save it as an SVG file and then import it into blender, convert to mesh, it adds a lot of points.
Is there a way to reduce the number of points on import?
Just turn down the resolution of the curve in the curves panel - default is like 10, you can experiment with what works for you. I usually deal with converting to mesh after I have my desired extrusion done, but same principle.
