I’m new to Blender and I’m currently experimenting to find an efficient workflow for vegetation, to find out how the particle system is working to scatter assets, how to deal with the displacement between EEvEE and Cycles. Here are my first “raw” renders from EEvEE and Cycles… nothing fancy just trying to reproduce a natural overcast and physically lighting. Funny to notice the difference of exposure between both renders!
Still a lot to do in regards to find the right combination of plants for that biome, add a bit more definition on the ground, add some debris and a silhouette for the scale!
I’m still investigating to find a good workflow about the particle system and have an accurate lighting setup!
A lot of tutorials out there are not up to date with Blender 2.90… however I’ve found that one and his way in my opinion, is much simpler and efficient than others! The only thing to adjust on top of that will be to have a PBR workflow and to only use four maps… Albedo, Roughness, Normal and Displacement.
