Vertex Manipulation

Is it possible to select a vertex and position it separate of the model? I want to be able to make sure a bunch of different vertexes are all perfectly aligned. Is there a way to do this?

Select the vertex and hit p.

I dont want to actually separate it. I know how to do that. I would like to be able to know and adjust any given vertex’s exact position in the world.

Ah hit n and at the top it should give you the location of your vertex.

In edit mode you can use snapping to align vertices along common axes.
