I’ve made this character to show to people that are new
to Game Blender the power of Vertex Painting
You can do really nice things only is this little tool!!
Maybe i’ll make a tutorial on the subject:
This technique is very well suited for Blender games and specially
for the Web-plug-in ( very “light” files )
Once again ( I make this appeal once a year I guess ):
I’m very disapointed that for all those years no comunity game was made
Something simple ( Blender game engine oblige) but with a strong concept
I’ll be very glad to participate with characters and level design
I can do these characters quite fast ( more or less one day)
So if this character inspires you put a project up and running
But, please, forget Half-Life, Unreal, Warcraft and so on
Think light and different…do you know Tetris
Well…bye
Is really hard to find a complete tutorial like “Little Oto” that you made. I learned a lot whith that and it is a kind of quick reference to me.Thankx a lot.
This chick that you made (Tryniti?) is awesome! It incorporates the computer language whithout being boring. Photorealism is cool but is not the only language. What do you think? Which kind of games do you prefer? (Tetris… what else? Classic arcade?).
I’m sure that you know someone ( we all known one ) around you, very
painful, that’s always “against”
Well, that’s me …I’m always against
If there’s fantastically realistic and complex games all around
I’ll prefer the basic ones like Tetris or Pac-man
Of course, at the time we only have Tetris and Pac-man I’ve found
them very poor graphically
I’m far from a “hardcore” or even a “standard” gamer
I don’t care for scores or speed
I like “atmospheres” even if it’s only a little scene in the game
So I like Wipeout of course, Nomad Soul ( moving in the city is great)
and some others ( the great outdoor spaces and interface of Tribes2)
Well…and Quake3 sometimes for adrenalin…
Thank you for the comments about the tuts
I can understand that it’s hard to find complete tuts. It’s a hard job
to make them, and when I reread mine I’ve find them quite bad.
But I don’t have the courage to upgrade them.
Bye
