Vertex selection

Hey guys,
I’m trying to unwrap a simple geometry in the latest Blender 2.5 Beta.
Coming from a different 3D package some things are new to me and I stumbled over a strange behaviour I can’t figure out: When I select a vertex in the UV editor, it’s other representations (as part of different faces) are selected as well.

I put a file here which maybe explains it a little better:

I want to merge those two UV vertices as they are the same vertex in my geometry and I want them to align cleanly, but whenever I select one for moving it, the other gets selected as well, so I can’t move one without moving the other.

In an older Blender Documentation I found something about a ‘Stick UVs to Mesh Vertex’ option, has that something to do with it?

bye,
Thomas

Deselect this button in the UV image editor

Ah, thank you, that makes sense of course.
But when I do that, the UV map gets invisible, can you give me hint on how I can get it back in the editor, can’t find the option.

Select all the vertices of the unwrapped object in the 3d view.

I’m such a noob.
Thank you very much!

No problem.
