Vertex slide on Curves? (Asking for a friend... no, really!)

Is it possible to slide a vertex on a CURVE?

(I realize this is tricky in that Curves are defined by the vertices, but programmatically Blender would make a temporary virtual curve, represent where the point WOULD be if it were slid, and then apply the point transformation on exit. (And that’s just the FIRST problem.))

I don’t know if you can slide a vertex but with flexi bezier addon you can at least add a vertex on a curve with a click.

The sample curve node outputs a position vector which you can use to transform a point

Use geometry nodes as Hadriscus said or you can use the curve tools addon shipped with Blender.
