Funny, the same thing happened to me. The connection at my university is 1 mb/sec while my home connection was only 200 kb/sec.

Linux mint is good. Another good distro that I encourage you to look at is Fedora.

anyways , vimeo is working grand … , DLDed lotsa of tutorials through clipnabber .
Couple of weeks ago i decided to change Internet provider so i choose Virgin media (UK) Now I’m happy with 2-3 mega/second:) I love it, it’s so cool. VM have 3 offers 10 M/s, 20 M/s and 50 M/s I have that second one but it’s even faster than i need to be honest:)

Not so much I think, For 20 Mega/s + phone + tv I pay 40 pounds per month, price for phone line is included, what is also great in Virgin media’s offer is that they use fabric optic cable. You can check all offers on http://www.virginmedia.com/ What You read can sound like advertisement or something but it’s not, also You will get some nice bonus gift when You sine agreement with them I can now print for free 50 photos per month in Snapfish Modem and router is also for free, but You have to pay additional money for installation You can do that on your own for free ofcourse. Well best offer in Uk imo.
