very quick bone question

Not sure how this happened but i will try to explain. I have a few different sets of bones that i was practicing on. When i select one set of bones and go to pose mode
then move bones, the pivot point stays in the original position, I then go back to object mode and play the animation, the bones snap back to pivot point( the original position the bones were in) On another set of bones i do the same thing i described above then going back to object mode i play animation the bones stay in the new spot i moved them to away from pivot point.

Are you actually making keyframes? if so, check if auto-IK is enabled in the animation tab for the armature (I found this can become quite pesky at times) if neither of these make any sense perhaps a screen? I think it’s quite abstract, mainly what you mean by pivot point?

Yes, i am making keyframes and the auto ik in not enabled. when you add a bone there is a pink dot at the base of the root bone that is what i mean by pivot point ( not sure if that is what it is called)

Anyone else have any ideas? i can add a quick blend if needed.

If it’s Parented to a Mesh. Check the Mesh’s Modifiers, and see if it has more than one Armature Mod. If so, delete the second one.

I added this quick blend so you guys can actually see what i mean. open the blend. There are two sets of bones. Select bones on right, go to pose mode move bones away from pink dot (pivot point) the go back to object mode and move green bar in action editor The bones will stay where you placed them away from pink dot. Go to bones on left do the same thing when you move the green bar the bones snap back to original place. what is the difference between those two bones??

Ok…I looked at your File. Try going into EDIT mode and moving the Bones away from the pivot point. Then play your animation.
