Vfx/Animation House , pipeline

Hi everyone.
i don’t know if it’s the right place to talk about it … but here it goes anyways.
I am building a vfx/animation house based on Blender-Houdini ,and i was wondering if any one can give me any feedback on that…
i was a Max, Maya, Modo, Houdini and an Xsi Generalist for many years… but i was wondering if any body has any Experience base on moving the production house on Blender, is it safe, is it too soon…can it handle large topology and assets.?!

Hum, maybe it’s best to try out for yourself.
Blender is getting more and more used in companies. I’m myself a long time blender users, working in animation series rather than VFX.
Editing dense meshs is one of blender weaks point, and probably it’s not the best software at handling many objects in the scene.
IMO it’s good enough to get many stuff done, it’s also developing fast and great to work with.

You can look at work of other companies that also use blender and houdini as their main tools : https://www.barnstormvfx.com/vfx-1
