Video Editing Fireball

First i recorded the video used and converted it down b/c it was huge. Then I animated an empty to where my hand was in the entire video. After that I used a particle system to create what looked kinda like fire, then modified it a ton with the nodes to look like real fire. After that i put the ipo on the fire and hooked it up the nodes with the video. If u want me to make a tutorial comment…if i get enough comments i might make a tutorial
im not really going to give the blend file out though…

Nice work dude. Just think how much easier this will be once we get tracking in Blender.
(cue project mango!)

when is that the tracking suppose to come out in the 2.5 beta? btw is it like video tracking?

Like it  and a tutorial would be interesting.

Haha, that was pretty neat

Plus you have like an awesome house… jealousy and wrath

^ I agree with the above comment.

Tutorial? Yes please.

Nice work, I would have added a couple of lamps to illuminate your face, so it would have looked more realistic. Still the fire does not look much into the scene, it looks more like a sticker on a picture. I guess this is mostly due to lack of radiosity. Since the original Camera did not move at all, then no software tracking was needed. If you model a quick face, no much detailed, and placed ( animated ) in sync with your face you can create reflections easily.
