video sequencer question

Soo…

I have rendered all the frames of my animation. I entered them into the sequence editor, and added some cross effects to fade in/out. I hit the ‘do sequence’ button and hit ‘anim’ to generate my file.

it all works. except that the final output is half the size. all of my rendered frames are the correct size.

i dont get it. am i missing something somewhere?

So, for some strange reason, the video sequencer was reducing my frame sizes in half again. Setting the output framesize to twice my original framesize got me the correct size (ie: 640x480 original size, set to 1280x960).

any thoughts on why this is?

A long shot, but is the 50% button in the Render panel of the render buttons (F10) selected?

If you did sequencing in a NEW blender file then the output is automatically of the size defined by the file…
