Playing a video on a surface is easy, but what if the surface is a glass panel and it gets broken into pieces? Is it possible to keep playing the parts of the video on the broken pieces? Not a separate instance of the video on each piece, but the same part of the video as before the breaking on the same area.
Have you tried it? The knife tool respects UVs, so if you cut up a plane with a video texture, the texture will remain on the cut up pieces

I had seen a Japanese animation in which the protagonist’s memory was displayed like a movie on a screen, and the screen was shattered. I wondered if I could do that in Blender, how I can keep the video playing on the broken pieces. I thought I had to manually do it otherwise the same movie will be played on each piece, but when I tried the “cell fracture” plugin, it seemed that the pieces maintained their video parts.
