videogame spaceship

This is a spaceship I made for my videogame.

There is not a lot to say about this what game engine you using as this model seems very low poly even for something like game maker .Thats not to say that its a bad model but can you afford a subsurface mod even 1 level would make an improvement .
Are you going to make sprites from this or are you coding the game in 3d??

Now you’re just trolling us, your lamps, vase and robots were not good and this ship is not either, these are fine attempts are figuring out how to use the interface but look like they were completed in 10 minutes by dragging a few shapes together and throwing a random texture on it, they do not need to be posted here.

Go back to the learning board and spend a week building more complicated models before posting any more of these. You will notice that I have yet to post a single WIP, even though I have been spending 5-10 hours a week for the last two months working on samples. They aren’t ready yet, I know what I need to improve, so that’s what I’m doing. Once I can no longer identify improvements, I will post for critique.

I am using this for a openworld game.I am making in the blender game engine. You will be able to get into this vehicle and fly it.I have made vehicles many times that you can get in, drive them and get out of them.

Aboba again has good advice! There’s no need to post everything you do (especially not in separate threads). You simply can’t make a functioning interactive experience with the understanding of modelling and texturing you’ve demonstrated; it would be unplayable both aesthetically and technically. You need to take a step back and work on the basics first. Try creating a single “improvement thread” where you post your small test models so you can concentrate the critiques – the more you get at this stage the better.

But that is probably what they said about minecraft.

Well, not to be esoteric, but: “The fact that some geniuses were laughed at does not imply that all who are laughed at are geniuses. They laughed at Columbus, they laughed at Fulton, they laughed at the Wright brothers. But they also laughed at Bozo the Clown.” -Carl Sagan.

Also, Minecraft was first released as a functional and playable demo. You’ve shown a handful of isolated models, all amateur and ambiguously optimized for a game environment. You don’t have to do everything all at once; its okay to work on the basics before you jump into something huge like a video game project.
