view port super slow in texture view


I have a subdivided model which is fine in the view port. I have started to unwrap it to texture and have put the checkerboard texture on temperarely. So far I only have 3 x 4k images and the view port lags like hell.

Any Idea?

so…i found an old thread that says dont have subd mod at the end of a stack and to put a simple deform with 0…
…and it worked.

viewport is super fast again

this is good, but at the same time annoying thinking i have to do this every time.

There was something about turning on triple buffering for nvidia cards

I think it’s in preference > system > Window draw method

i’ll give that a try too!

yeah, that seems to have made a performance boost too
