Viewing blender file in Augmented Reality on iOs

Hello, I’ve created an app on iOs (running on iPhone and iPad) that let you visualize a 3d model on top of a marker (a printed page).

Here are some videos that shows you how you can use it :

What it does in general : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o43MP-CYlK4

So you can get the app there (for free) : http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/augment/id506463171?l=en&ls=1&mt=8

So, can you give it a try with your model, try some animations (it should work) and let me know what you think and what improvement you would like to see.Thank you !

Mh think metaio and ototal immersion are better solutions as it is for all platforms and also free (they have sdks for mobile and desktop)

Sure if you want to do your own application, but if you just want to look quickly at one of your model in Augmented Reality, you won’t be able to do that with total immersion or metaio, you will need to at least create a test application which embed your 3d model.

The android version is already planned, it won’t be long before it’s out.

I’ve downloaded it - very cool - but I don’t understand how to load one of my own objs into the app.

EDITED TO ADD: Just succeeded in adding a .obj to the app’s shared files folder using iTunes.

The mesh has lost its subsurf smoothing and has a few weird gaps in it, but it’s still cool.

Thanks!
