Viewing the Blender Tutorial (GZ files)

Hi everyone, I’ve just downloaded a Blender Tutorial from the blender.org site and the file extension is .tar (a gz file) and i have no idea how to view it.

Various sites have suggested the use of Winzip but im running Windows XP and im not sure if maybe its simply evading my searches or incorporated into the OS.

So pretty much, how do i view a GZ file?

WinRAR should be able to unpack them so you can view the files inside.

It’s not incorporated into WinXP. Try 7-zip, WinRAR.
