Because if so then people who like to track Blender’s development and see all the tools being developed in patch form can’t view them anymore. I found this out because it says cookies must be enabled and it had a login screen.
Personally, if this is true, in the respect of seeing the progress of some exciting new stuff, this was a stupid move, as then some features that were coded can never be seen by those who are not registered. I don’t like when I have to register just to read stuff, now viewing the patch tracker may be like the DAZ forums, no register, can’t read anything.
I know it may be to prevent overloading the server, but is this really neccesary?
