Viewport nodes different than render nodes

I’m using geometry nodes to distribute some foliage and so far I’m finding it super useful, but I have one issue I cant seem to figure out or wrap my head around. It appears that the randomized attributes within the view port are all changed when the scene is actually rendered. Is this intentional behavior? If so, is there a way to sync what I’m seeing in the view port and what will actually be rendered? It would have to be a real pain to render out the animation every time, even if just in workbench, just to see if I like the distribution of plants. At that point it would almost be easier to just place everything by hand.

solved this issue. I have a sub d modifier on my ground plane with the viewport levels set different than the render levels. Turns out the distribution of geo node points are affected by the resolution of the mesh. Matching the levels of resolution in viewport and render solves this. Lesson learned.
