Animated cartoon character rigged and shapekeys wip

Hi!
First post. I have been messing aound with 3D and texturing for years now, but never comitted all the way.

After using Maya and ZBrush for a while, I returned to Blender after many years. I am surprised at how much more I am enjoying it now. The modelling and painting really impresses me.

This is the project I have taken the furthest so far to learn Blender
.

I used a pretty undetailed sculpt to then do blendshapes before I began texturing it in Vertex paint. Maby I will retopologize it and texture and rig it for real eventually.

So I am looking for ways to render faster in order to make a longer animation without having a monster-system or a farm.

I want to do it in EVEE and so tried to lower samples and tweaking other values to get lower rendertimes. It does lower them, especially when compared to Cycles.

But then I came across a tip to render in viewport. And that shaved many seconds off the animation, even compared to Evee with low samples.

This is how it turned out.

After following along with Grant Abbitt I made a short animation of Berk and his amazement of a firefly.

Moving on to other tutorials by Grant.

This is a procedural fire animation animation rendered in Evee.

I made a short animation of my Joker-model.

Learning to rig animate and render step by step.
