Viewport "Rendered" mode not working (2.91)

I don’t know what’s actually going on, but I can’t see the rendered preview in 2.91 when I have Cycles selected. It still shows that I moved the viewport along, but it doesn’t actually update the viewport when I do.

Like I said, I don’t know what’s going on, if I need to update my drivers, if it’s just an issue with AMD cards and Blender not playing well together, or if it’s just a bug in 2.91, but it either takes too long to load or doesn’t load at all when it comes to “Rendered” mode in the viewport.

For AMD, you need to downgrade your video drivers to a version before 20.11.2. I’ve also seen a singular report that the latest drivers appear to work, but so far I don’t know for certain if that’s indeed the case.

The thing is, I’m using the Radeon Pro driver, which hasn’t been updated since October. Does that mean I got to go back to an earlier version of that driver? Or is that fine?

Try switch to cpu to check it first. If cpu works you should try another driver.

That is the mode I’m using. It works fine with EEVEE, but not Cycles.
