Vimeo Hidden and Unlisted videos not embedded properly

Vimeo has Hidden and Unlisted status for videos. These don’t appear on a user’s normal Vimeo page but can be seen through a link or embedded. They are good for WIP’s and private videos that are for a limited audience but should not appear on the user’s Vimeo page.

Links to this type don’t work well on BA. Vimeo’s embed code sort of works. Links don’t produce the embedded player like typical public videos do and don’t work well when cllicked. See here for example:

Vimeo embeds appear normally for me. Perhaps your VPN is blocking content again?

Granted, in Edge the whitespace is a bit different though.

The solution for Vimeo hidden or unlisted videos use the embed code they provide, accept that it looks different, better in full screen, and don’t post a link.

Thanks for investigating that. I set the vpn threat protection back to lite mode. No change. That is what it looks like to me too. It is functionally and visually different than posting a public Vimeo video here.

This is what a public Vimeo video looks looks like just by putting its link in the post:

Posting such a link to a hidden or unlisted video just shows a link that leads to " sorry, we couldn’t find that page". However, copy/paste the link and shows it at Vimeo.

The embed you see at that other page comes from copy/paste of this embed code provided by Vimeo rather than just posting a link:

For long time I’ve planned to move my videos elsewhere, maybe Rumble, so I’m not worrying about Vimeo details.
