I just wanted to say that I LOVE this site and I love the community.
I was wondering if anyone would care for either some sort of paid VIP membership where you can get an answer within x hours from top pro users (for a monthly fee or per question) Sort of like google answers (RIP)
Don’t get me wrong, most if not all questions get answered, but I sometimes see that people (Me) have complex questions that only the pros can answer.
Unfortunately I can’t afford the 60 USD per hour that Mavenseed is charging, even though JW is great and his voice is definitely great (there are some people who do tutorials that have a horrible voice) sorry, just thought I’d put it out there and get it out of my system.
If anyone (site admin?) thinks this can be implemented, or a good service, it would be great. Even though a lot of people want everything for free, I know there are some who would pay.
Thanks for your time.

IMO its a bad idea. Blender is free, and I always get good answers to hard questions within an hour. So why pay when you can get it for free? And what guarantee is there that the people can/will want to answer your question? This will never work and is probably precisely why Google answers died. Danny Sullivan himself said that “killing the service is probably a smarter move than allowing it to languish online.”** There would simply be too few people using it. If google can’t do it with the whole world behind them, how can one little forum full of nerds do it?
I agree with Gregzaal, it’s a bad idea. As for getting answers to complex problems surely having everyone pitch in ideas/solutions for the bits they can solve is better than having some ‘expert’ trying to solve everything. Furthermore, there is often a few ways a problem can be solved, so having a wider range of input allows you to pick the answer that best suits your needs. And charging for support doesn’t fit the feel of an open source community.
I work with the game engine and I rarely ask a question, not because I’m an expert, further from it, because more often than not someone has already tried to do what I’d doing (or something similar) and after trawling here and google for a few hours I usually find a solution. I’m starting to believe there are few questions that haven’t already been answered here!
