Visability in animations question

I would like to know if it is possible to animate visablility into key frames, this will help me a lot, thanks…

Hi,

Yes it is possible. To set keyframes for alpha, hover over your material settings and press I. Select Alpha.

Or you can use I>Layer to set the layer an object is on - on a given frame. The other key that you use is M to move an object to whatever layer. Then make sure the hidden layer is not visible at render time, by deselecting it in the egg carton boxes.

So when an object should be invisible, it is keyed to be on a layer that doesn’t render.
Takes some practice to be honest, but it works.
