Volumetric colored glass in Eevee


I’m wondering if it’s already possible to create colored glass using Eevee that features the volumetric effect of less color and more transparency in thinner areas of a mesh?

Maybe it’s possible with some nodes trickery?

If it’s not possible with Eevee yet, I’m also interested in the best (fake) volumetric glass solution for Cycles that doesn’t require heavy rendering.
