volumetric model breaker - how?

Looks awesome. Is there any script for Blender (2.49 at lest) that can chop any given model into uneven chunks, preserving UV map?

The FractureMe script is a part of Blender 2.5 as an add-on. I haven’t tried it yet, but if they’ve made it an add-on I’m guessing that’s a good indication that it should work pretty well. The demo videos in the links above are very impressive.
