Voronoi shattering - Jittering particles problem

Hi,

I had a couple of blocks which were shattered in different numbers (from 3 to 400).
I dropped them on a rigid plane (fall due to gravity), but after some time, I see the smaller objects do not rest, and they jitter all the time (they shake in their place constantly).
What is the cause of this?

Is there any way to correct this? Actually, I need to continue simulation with motionless objects.

Thank you for your help.

We need to see your actual parameters; can you post the blend-file? There is a dampening parameter which should clip an object’s motion to zero once it drops below a certain floor level.

You can download my file by this link: https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=125CF2E61BA7757B!3771

Note that, the particles are very small, I guess their small size caused such problem.
I’ve chosen “metric system” and the size range of my particles are from 3 mm to 18 mm. Due to some restrictions, I cannot change their size,

Based on what I explained, is there any way to limit their jittering behaviour?

I appreciate your help.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Yes, I did a simple animation (you can see here).

I remember that problem and I think I fixed it with this setup:

Plane / Floor / Groud:

Fragments / Pieces:

I have checked dynamic because I use an animated sphere to move the fragments. So the scene has two forces, the gravity and a sphere which crashes with the fragments.

Thanks for your response, however, I don’t see any tricks in the parameters you chose.
For your information below I’ve attached my setting:

For floor:

for fragments:

Again I note that range of the size of fragments is from 6 mm to 18 mm.

As I can see all parameters are different. Try some of mine, for example bounciness to 0.0 and shape mesh, which is more accurate.
