I had a couple of blocks which were shattered in different numbers (from 3 to 400).
I dropped them on a rigid plane (fall due to gravity), but after some time, I see the smaller objects do not rest, and they jitter all the time (they shake in their place constantly).
What is the cause of this?
Is there any way to correct this? Actually, I need to continue simulation with motionless objects.
We need to see your actual parameters; can you post the blend-file? There is a dampening parameter which should clip an object’s motion to zero once it drops below a certain floor level.
Note that, the particles are very small, I guess their small size caused such problem.
I’ve chosen “metric system” and the size range of my particles are from 3 mm to 18 mm. Due to some restrictions, I cannot change their size,
Based on what I explained, is there any way to limit their jittering behaviour?
I have checked dynamic because I use an animated sphere to move the fragments. So the scene has two forces, the gravity and a sphere which crashes with the fragments.
