VoronoiUneasy material node group

I was curious about the difference between Voronoi texture modes F1 vs SmoothF1… so I subtracted them to see the difference. After playing around with this for a while, I made a material node-group I call “VoronoiUneasy” (thinking that the opposite of Smooth might be Uneasy?).

The “Mix” nodes between the Voronoi texture nodes, and the subtraction was some fuzzy-thinking on my part for a quick way to modulate the relative contribution of the modes F1 & SmoothF1. I can’t say I really understand how these are doing what they do, but the 4 sliders controlling them (F1 mix Factor, F1 mix Constant, SmoothF1 mix Factor, SmoothF1 mix Constant) provide a parameter space that seems to offer some very different possibilities.

The next image is an example material from this family, to show how the node-group is used.

Here’s the .blend file, in case anyone is interested in playing with this:

Wow!!
Thanks… That’s so much hard work!!
