Hey there, i wanted to try the demo version of Vray, the thing is that i don’t find the file to download. Is there anibody here who ever did it before?

It seems that the trial are available just for “V-Ray for: 3ds Max, Maya, SketchUp, Rhino, Revit, Cinema 4D, Unreal, Houdini, Nuke”
Right so i probably need to buy the licence, do you know if it’s worth it?

It would worth as it’s one of the best renderer you can use. I’m using it for my daily job since first releases, more or less 20 years ago. It’s really flexible with a ton of options that helps a lot to solve any kind of situation.
Unfortunately, the Blender version is locked to 2.79b and it’s really difficult, today, to use that old Blender version.
Consider also that the Vray version bundled with Blender is, if I correctly remember, the 3.0… now they are at 6 and it lacks some nice feature they added last years.
In the Blender forum section fo Chaos Group there are very few posts from devs that still saying they’re developing Vray for Blender but I’m personally losing hope that this will happen.
I really like to use it with updated Blender (and updated Vray version) but real life send me messages that I have to look around for other rendering solutions.
