Render with Corona
wow this is a FANTASTIC render, I have actully never heard about the corona render engine I think?..
How long did it take to render?
Well in terms of realism, this is brilliant. The only thing that seems a bit off is the slight blur on the lower end - but I had to look really hard to notice that. If I didn’t know this was a render I’d never guessed.
In terms of photorealistism - it’s nearly perfect. Looks like a picture.
In terms of artistry - it could be a bit more interesting. Try some more inspired lighting - right now it looks like the flash of a camera.
The reference image was an actual bland photograph of a vray dongle. The goal was to achieve/ replicate the realism. A small render: www.inchiology.com/usb.mp4
Corona is the Future…
I just checked the corona homepage - extremely impressive stuff.
Mind describing your workflow on that image? Did you use the standalone version of corona or 3dsmax for rendering?
ive seen corona. very impressive. maxwell sorta still takes the prize for realism i think, and prman for realism plus speed, but corona is a very impressive render engine none the less.
Corona beats Maxwell in terms of Speed hands down. In terms of realism I have found that Maxwell doesnt Match Corona’s Realism.
PRman does have speed and realism but alot of the great Studios have turned to Arnold Renderer Lately which Corona Greatly resembles…
Texturing and Rendering done in 3DS Max… Corona as a plugin
