VRML 2.0 import / .TIF export (save as)

I have read, that " […] Blender supports, since version 2.23, a VRML2 (also known as VRML97) import" .Unfortunately, I didn’t see anything like this in Blender 2.34. I can only import the older VRML 1.0. Can someone help me please, because I have to import an existing VRML 2.0 file in Blender…I don’t think so, but do I need another plugin to open VRML 2.0 files ???

Second, I need to save images as .TIF files. I’ve seen that Blender can save pictures also as .TIF files http://www.blender3d.org/cms/Features.155.0.html … There it is written:
" Read / Write TGA, JPG, PNG, Iris, SGI Movie, IFF, AVI and Quicktime GIF, TIFF, PSD, MOV (Windows and Mac OS X) " But when I use Blender, I can only save a jpg, bmp, png, targa and some others …, but no .TIF. Would be very nice if some is helping me :slight_smile:

vrml 2 import support was abandoned after 2.25
You can download the 2.25 version, import vrml2 data, save .blend file and then reopen it in 2.35

Hello, Blender save in .TIF with Quicktime, so install quicktime, and in the scene panel (F10Key) choose Quicktime for the format and choose the codec Tiff, in the quicktime compression settings dialog. I know this work on Windows but I don’t know for other OS.

Hello. I installed Blender 2.25 , in which I can import VRML2, but when doing so, I get the following message in the console;:

File “…/modules/Converter/importloader.py”, line 18, in progress
File “…/modules/Converter/importer/VRMLimporter.py”, line xyz, in Transform ( … in walk, in Shape etc)

IndexError: list index out of range

What does this mean? The other problem with the .TIF is solved :slight_smile:
