[VS2008/Scons] stdint.h doesn't exist

I’ve followed the wiki verbatim, and it hangs up on avi.c because it can’t include stdint.h. I followed the troubleshooting guide, and re-installed Visual Studio 2008 Service Pack 1, but that didn’t help matters.

I’ve used git, TortoiseSVN, and the free version of Visual Studio 2008.

Support for VS2008 has been dropped, to be replaced by MSVC2013

Well, THAT explains it. I’m trying out 2012, because I saw it mentioned in the wiki as an alternative. If that doesn’t work, I’ll try 2013.

Okay, every new version of VS requires creating an account I just don’t want to deal with. I’m experimenting with MinGW; but, unfortunately, I cannot find what command I’m supposed to issue: the wiki only says how to compile Visual Studio, unless I’m just being a terrible reader again.

Where did you see VS2012 mentioned as an alternative? - its not, and the wiki needs to be updated.

Only VS2013 is supported now.
