so i add the movie to vse but when i add it the audio is 15 sec but the video is 18 sec and when i render it shows up the video but then i set it to avi mp3 and it comes error intializing video stream and then mpeg and mp3 the video renders with sound but the sound is not good alot like eletronic sounds

how do i solve this i really need help and quick as i’m working on a project whose deadline is monday

oh and i’m using blender 2.56 the official release

Unless the original sound stream is really that crappy (which I doubt but you never know), this sounds like a very low bitrate problem. A second guess is that the original audio codec is not supported or is only partially supported (less likely but still cannot be ruled out).
Could you please post the actual audio stream details here?
Moreover, make sure that the sampling and bit rates match the original in the audio encoding settings, render out and post the results here.

hey blendercomp thanks for the reply well i have seen the bitrate thing in blender before but i never knew wat bitrate actually is so can anyone tell me

hey blendercomp it actually seems to work well i know why it wasnt working before well the problem was that the bitrate was 32 and i set it to max that is 384 and it renders fine thanks blendercomp thank you for volunteering and looking into this

welcome. You could have a look at this article on wikipedia for a brief intro 2 digital audio: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_audio
