This is something I’ve been playing with all day. I have had the idea stuck in my head for quite some time, and finally got around to making it. Here are two shots of the craft. It currently has 3 seats, but may have more in the end.
Here is a front shot of it:
Here is a shot of the engines and motor (these are still under heavy work)
Please c&c on this. I will have bigger and better images of it up tomorrow.
Kinda hard to say anything now. It’s hard to make out what is what. Only thing that i can say is thier is alot of space between the back axle/shaft and the tube that it goes through. Also where the shaft connects to the engines, need to have something else there like a ring or a bearing or something. I know its still a wip so keep on going. Cool concept
Looks to me as one of those shuttles of that TV-serie (damn what was the name again?) about some aliens who have that alliance with mankind.
anyway nice start but lot’s of work left to do. potential is there

Yes, it is kind of hard to tell where you are going with this based on those images. It looks promising though. I like the smooth styling. Keep with it and post some more images.
Earth:Final Conflict?
Umm, if that’s a family car that would suck as hell when yer wee little lad runs into those blades!! It would be like turning on the engine in winter, only to hear a quick meow before yyou have cat guts everywhere!! LOL
Would you please post a shot from farther away? It looks like you’ve spent a long time on this but your camera position makes it difficult to get an idea of what your craft really looks like. I can tell you’ve got something cool going here though. How did you get those cool curved panels? I really need to work on my modeling skills… You’re all better than me! AHHH!!!
Okay I got a further shot here and a landing gear shot. I am really having problems with my slow computer for rendering these, so I hope to get some more shot later today. Thank goodness it is Saturday. lol
Okay, it does look sorta like the crafts in Earth: Final Conflict, but they were all one piece and almost spherical. I loved that show.
Umm… A lil’ lad wouldn’t run into the blades, since this thing flies! lol But when on the ground your children get inside. ::nods::
The curved planes: realy simple. I made a plane. I went into edit mode. I selected two vertexes and deleted them. I made vertex after vertex until I had a flat design. Then I connected the dots. I selected the whole thing and duplicated it and sized it out. I fixed the second out a bit. I then grabbed the inner set and dubbed it again and hit p to seperate it. I now grabbed all the ones in the current mesh and hit shift f and then extruded it one unit down. That is what made the pipes around the planes. I then went out of edit mode and grabbed the seperated mesh and grabbed all vertices inside it and filled it in and extruded it once. I now have the plane on the inside of the pipes. I set massive subsurfs to both pipe and field, and then curved it if it needed to be curved. The only one that is curved is the top to front one.
See easy. lol
oh yah, landing gear sucks. lol
Yeah it looks like you stole the landing gear off of a shopping cart but the rest is great!
