Ever since bapsis posted a link to the excellent series ‘Cosmos’ by carl Sagan on google video, I’ve been hooked…

So here is the Oscar nominated documentary called ‘Waco: Rules of engagement’ that tells the story of the standoff between the branch davidians and the ATF/FBI. Like all such compelling documentaries, nothing here is as black and white as it first appears; and the lingering question remains as to whether the Beureu of Alchol Tobacco and firearms used uneccesary force to provoke the whole incident in the first place. Anyway, it’s compelling, powerful and moving stuff.

Interesting. I was close to 2 years old at the time of the waco incident. This is pretty sad.

Religious sects like this never work out well.
