My latest work where I have tried to show the suffering that soldiers go through not only during actual battles, but also every moment they think about horrible things they have seen and what’s going to happen next.
Style is a bit strange, hope you like it
Modeled in Blender 2.6, rendered with Cycles. Gimp for some minor texture work.
For the intended style that you’re aiming for, based on the atmosphere you’ve used, this is really outstanding. However, if I were to add another effect, that would be to improve the lighting and contrast on the whole scene.
Thanks The final hair is a mesh. First I created it the usual way using particle system, adjusted the number of strands, etc. Then I converted it to mesh. It doesn’t look good that way, so I had to grab all the vertices in Edit mode and extrude them using scale. To add volume I applied Solidify modifier and rendered with simple Diffuse material. Same was done for the grass.
