Walk-o-matic (I need it)

Hi all,

Can someone please post a copy of the latest version of the walk-o-matic script (version 49.9). Every link I try seems to lead to a dead end. Post the text not a link ;).

Thanks:D!

I just deleted it from my computer :spin: … but do a Google search for walkomatic and the first result should be what you’re looking for

(I would post it here, but it says my post is too long)

hope that helps

it was here according to Blender.org this page http://www.blender.org/download/python-scripts/
http://biphome.spray.se/millfield/
but now there is something else

Someone who understands walking should make a wiki, showing the paths of foots, giving some mathematical functions, logics behind footpaths, the dependence of walking speed, so that it would be possible to anyone to construct these walking scripts. It is not really quite complicated, is it? I know there is a deep-going explore results, but can these be converted to an learning source for anyone?

[EDIT] Link to the download page: http://www-users.cs.umn.edu/~mein/blender/plugins/python/animation/walkomatic/index.html
It says it was last modified around a year ago, I don’t know if there’s a more recent version than that [END EDIT]

hope that helps

As far as I know it’s been where it’s always been.

There’s not much there in the way of docs. sorry.
Also, whilst the demo files work, the script itself is way busted.
With the ability to import .bvh animation files,
i don’t think walk’o’matic will be further developed.
unless someone wants to, then go for it!

Hummm,

These are the same links as I’ve tried before. Anyone have a text file, or maybe a blend file?

well this is from the link off the site.
it has the .py file and blends

Unfortunately, this download only provides version 49.7. In order for it to actually work I need the latest version: 49.9.

oops I didn’t really feel like reading the first post

Edit - found it but no example blends and its too many characters to post a text file so…

Think you could you could insert it into a blend file and post a link?

C.Wynn,
Fine. I’ll give you persistence, that’s for sure!
grrr…
Updated Wiki Page.
Uploaded the file to my storage site 49.9 this time.
In Python .py file = text.
grrr… even more.
I just found the User docs also!
hmm, where to put them.
OK then.
Here is all the Docs & the 49.9 .py file!

btw, the script seems to want to work in 2.47.
when I first tested I was using 49.7.

Wow, thanks alot!

You have my ever increasing gratitude:D!
