Walkthrough with lightmaps

Hi. Yesterday I started to learn how to make lightmaps. I modelled interior and created textures, now you can move around it http://forums.cgsociety.org/images/smilies/smile.gif

Scene contains 1800 faces. All textures are baked, total amount is about 2000*2500 pixels.

Very nice. The only suggestion would be to add in some lights (in the walls/floors?) to show where they are coming from, thus explaining the shadows inside the building?

Yes, I didnt model lamps but it was very fast creating.

All I’ve created in 5 hours
( and I was learning meantime how to bake when object has UV textures, so it must be rendered to other UVs, and I was waiting for renders)

Now I know how it works. There are darker lines on edges, next time I will know how to avoid it :slight_smile: And it was very fast UVmapping too, so some of textures could be better mapped.

I mean, add models that look like lights to the room, lol. Sorry about that.

heh yes, as I’ve written, next time I will know, this I saw them after baking :smiley: But it’s boring making it only for me, maybe someone will want 3d walkthrough in future…
