Hey @ce! Great looking earth!! How did you produce the faint atmospheric glow on the earth?

I was trying to get that look using the standard emit button from a duplicated mesh of the earth (scaled a wee bit bigger than the earth). I haven’t used the glow plugin yet.

Any tips?

The glow is simply one giant halo with hard turned up and add :smiley:

as for the overal glow on the planet…I didn’t turn alpha all donw wih the clouds, and added a bluewish color to it. so it’ll appear to have a bit the same color of the glow.

A moon eh? hmmm…I think it’ll ruin the picture…but I’ll give it a try :slight_smile:

its beautiful! needs a little more noticeable ozone layer though…the ozone layer has always been my fave part of planet pictures! :wink:

A moon wouldn’t make any sense, since the moon is always on the far side of Earth from the Sun. Maybe a little sparkling Venus or something…
