Not bad
why not a moon too?
Stefano
cool, thank you!
Hey @ce! Great looking earth!! How did you produce the faint atmospheric glow on the earth?
I was trying to get that look using the standard emit button from a duplicated mesh of the earth (scaled a wee bit bigger than the earth). I haven’t used the glow plugin yet.
Any tips?
Thanx
nice… but i agree that it needs something more… try the moon.

thanks for ur comment…
The glow is simply one giant halo with hard turned up and add
as for the overal glow on the planet…I didn’t turn alpha all donw wih the clouds, and added a bluewish color to it. so it’ll appear to have a bit the same color of the glow.
A moon eh? hmmm…I think it’ll ruin the picture…but I’ll give it a try
its beautiful! needs a little more noticeable ozone layer though…the ozone layer has always been my fave part of planet pictures!
we’ve got an ozone layer? WHERE?!!!

You only notice it when you see the holes
I never would have thought to use a halo that way. Good thinking
A moon wouldn’t make any sense, since the moon is always on the far side of Earth from the Sun. Maybe a little sparkling Venus or something…
Love it! Long time no see Ace!!! What’s up?

That doesn’t make sense, solar eclipses do happen you know
Haven’t you ever seen the moon in the day time ?
