I’ve attempted to import the Gitorious mirror via the instructions [here.](http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Dev:2.5/Doc/Building_Blender/Git)

“git svn rebase” throws the error -

> RA layer request failed: OPTIONS of ‘[https://svn.blender.org/svnroot/bf-blender/trunk](https://svn.blender.org/svnroot/bf-blender/trunk)’: Certificate verification error: signed using insecure algorithm ([https://svn.blender.org](https://svn.blender.org)) at /usr/lib/git-core/git-svn line 2693

No problems with the previous commands however.

My technical level here is “copy and paste from instructions” and I’m completely lost.

Try ready made build for your OS from [builder.blender.org](http://builder.blender.org) Dyntopo is present in it already for some time.

Thanks, that’s a much better option!
