warp tool in 2.57 where ?

do we have the equivalent of warp tool in 2.57

not the one for texture in map out panel

i mean the one to curve text around a cylinder for instance

in 2.49 you got that tol in edit mode with Shift-W then wtih cursor it would change the curvature
