wasteful interface

In my case it does - Tested again, and frame rate increases at least 20-22 frames when I switch from, let’s say the timeline to the image editor. Might be an ATI/AMD thing.

We probably have a misunderstanding. I meant: Disabling (only) the timeline in kiriri’s file yields no difference (for me).

well for me it slows it down a lot. If I run the default layout it’s somewhere between 59 and 69 frames (roughly 60 I guess). If I add a timeline to the layout, it’s down to 40-50 (more like 50 I think). And I don’t use AMD

Ah, okay - in that case it means a couple of frames. But turning off the animation playback for the animation editors in the timeline view menu, and then hiding the timeline does make quite a difference.

Speed should get some attention, i’ve noticed “lag” several times where i think it should not be.

It would be at least Fair to know what Dev Plans/Ideas have. Is this somewhere on the Roadmap - or just adding more and more stuff(which is great - balance)
