water again

I try to make a lake by using this tutorial. ( http://www.pekaro.de/blender/water/water_tutorial.html ) But although I do everything the same way,I get a very strange result. It doesn’t look like water actually. Does anyone know a good tutorial for making still water (For example a lake)?

I currently can’t find the tutorial I used to know, covered wave crests and lot… I’ll keep looking though.

So, what’s wrong with what you’ve got already? Any chance of a preview?

In no particular order (and as to use)…

Your tutorial seems to just use texture bump (normal) mapping, whereas i’d be thinking about using the displacement modifier. (Here’s a good tut I watched the other day which demonstrates the displacement modifier, http://www.blenderguru.com/let-it-snow/)
