Is there any tutorial how to make water reflection with normal map animation ? There are many example out there but any tutorial.

Yes there are many blend also but I can’t replicate them. Its too complicated. Is there a simple tutorial step by step how to achieve it? Moving normalmap and reflection.
Hi Cthames. Instead of making a mirror i want to make water reflection. so i follow your tutorial but it don’t reflect like a mirror, its like a shadow.I will post the blend in a minute.
The problem that you are having is because there isn’t a texture to use as the mirror.
Move your normal map down one texture slot and add a new texture. Doesn’t really matter what you use for the texture. (Use the UV mapping etc.) Do that and it should work fine.
Oh, and for water if you want to make it transparent, use the alpha settings on the mirror texture.

Rapid share finally let me download the 2nd blend file you posted. The reason the mirror image was going the wrong way was because the UV wasn’t mirrored on the x axis. (step 6 of the tutorial)

Thanks, i didn’t know that the fact that it doesn’t mirror which cause this problem. I try it and it was ok but when i add and empty to try to rotate the sphere, the reflection goes wrong again and i don’t know what i was doing wrong again :(.
