This is one my first blends (that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it) and that’s why it’s so basic. It’s of a water rocket that me, thor and lightning are going to build so we can get a day off-school and if we win a prize!
I still need to add a fin and tailplane and some better textures. I also need to add a water jet coming out of the back can someone tell me how to do that please. Any other C&C welcome.
Errr… You did this in 5 minutes didn’t you? Spend a little more time over it, we like quality artwork! But anyway, I can see where your going with that pic and I think it’ll look good real soon!
here’s and update with a tail fin and subsurf on. I don’t think i’m going to bother with a tail plane but i do want water spraying out of the back so can someone please tell me how to do it.
the end of the bottle should be more aerodynamic. and the other endshould be smaler becuase the water that is coming out of the back will be coming out of the neck of the bottle. Nice aerofoil though
Then click on the ‘Liquids’ link, then download the green goo file 1/2 way down the page.
If you are not able to workout how the liquid fx have been created, use Blender’s Append function.
Append the objects from this liquid file into your .Blend file(Shift & F1), then change the texture from green goo to water. Place the emitter at the rear of your craft, and hey presto. Some tweaking will be needed to make the dupliverts go in the direction you want.
By the way the file links above were found in the list of current tutorials here in Elysiun’s Questions and Answers Forum.
3 click and drag on the frop down button that says build i think as defult make that particle
4 click on static
5 at the bottom there are a set of sliders arround the headding force, make sure ur model is level or it might look a little weird. im guessing yours is how i would to it so you would drag the X slider along until you have a natural looking spray, fiddle with the total slider near the top until you have a good concentration.
5 finally set the matirial on it to halo and fiddle with the colours and sized of the halos until you have a cool water spary…
quick and dirty but that is how i would do it… hope it helps…
